Smiling upon a sunny sky
walking faith heals a soul
working toward tomorrow, elated
seeing your face upon my crest of joy
happy you are still there
never let go, never forget
my heart beats for thee, forever
eternity caught within a whisper
my heart can feel the magic, powerful
and I see the loving look in your eyes
holding you in my mind, warm feelings
life’s breath held within our kiss….
It all began about 60 years ago,
On a very special summers day,
For two unexpected teenage kids,
Love was about to come their way.
Boy meets girl, things move quick,
Nobody gave their love a chance,
It’s been seen a million times before,
Just another hopeless young romance.
The poem is about two people who at first were in love with each other. But as time passed , one of them lo longer feels the need to stay and decides to leave. The lover doesn’t understand what went wrong and is pleading his love to come back, justifying that he has always been there for his love . What happens in the end is worth reading. In this poem , the two people are depicted by “Body” And “Soul” , thereby showing the closeness that once existed between the two.
A cyclone erupts outside,
Strong winds refusing to die,
Not a soul is in sight,
Can’t anyone hear my soul cry?
