China has more than 1200 aircraft owned by the airlines and is expected to cross the 1500 mark by 2010. The airline industry in India is expanding steadily but the strategies adopted by the airlines and the government are hitting their bottom line. How do you differentiate a common product from your favorite product? What is that makes your buying decision easier?
These questions were answered as early as 1300 B.C. Artisans used to put a mark on their products which made it different from others. In return the customers found it a reliable method to evaluate the products and thus giving birth to the concept of brand loyalty. This branding was passed on to many ancient products like watermarks on paper, bread marks and other crafted goods. Branding of products instilled a sense of security among the buyers and lead to flourishing of the best producer.

How many of you know Michael Jordan? Quite a lot I guess but how many of you know Jordan, a country?

Jordan is a west Asian country sharing borders with Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Isreal. Much of the land is covered by the Arabian desert except the North-Western part where the capital of the country Amman is located, thanks to the Jordan river.

Jordan is an emerging nation with per capita GDP of $5,547. Since 1999, the liberal economic policies have helped this country to become one of the freest and most competitive economies in the middle east(2009 Heritage foundation Index).

Indian Premier Leage-2 generated Rs. 5.5 billion for the teams compared to Rs. 1.3 billion in IPL-1. What were the factors that helped IPL grow more than 4 times? A phenomenal success for an event which was almost scrapped because of some critical reasons.

IPL-2 saw some unique changes in the viewers demographics. This was the first time in the cricketing history that women took an active role cheering their teams.
