Flight 447 and now Caspian 7908. The Geneva based Aircraft Crashes Record Office’s statistics show that in 2007 the number of accidents were 137 and for the year 2008 it has increased to 147. What will be the number for 2009?

This Caspian disaster indicates the faulty policies of US. Due to unavailability of OEM parts, Iran had to continue buying Russian aircrafts, which are thirsty for maintenance. Who is to blame? The technological disadvantage of Russia or the Political advantage of US?
