Google has launched Chrome, a web based browser with many new features. The download hardly takes a minute. You need to close your Firefox browser once the installation starts. It offers a very simple looking browser but a very fast one too.
It also has an HTML tag inspector which will show you the HTML and CSS content present on the page. All you need to do is right click on page and select “Inspect Element. Also the homepage shows the list of the most viewed website
Unfortunately the status bar does not show the percentage of the page downloaded.Help is not provided. So you really have to struggle to find out the browser preferences option.
One thing I did not like about Chrome is that each tab you open shows up as a new thread in your Windows Task Manager as seen below in the image .This means that if you have 10 tabs open it would show up as 10 instances in your task manager.
The plus is that each tab takes up only about 6000k of memory which is close to firefox.
Overall I don’t feel this browser is any way near to firefox and Google would really have to work harder if it wants t make this browser as popular as Firefox.
