Microsoft Launches Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft has launched IE8 Beta .Here a quick look at some of the most stand out features.

One feature that Microsoft has introduced is a setting wherein all your surfing data, content , cookies and history are not saved to the cache – thus leaving no trace that you ever visited a site . This feature is very beneficial for people who would not want to leave a trace on their desktops about the sites they visited.

IE8.JPGIt also has a new search bar which provides suggestions as you type ahead into the textbox.

Also Microsoft has introduced SmartScreen Filter, A new security feature. Additionally it also protects against different types of hacking as well.

WebSlice: This is a great functionality where -in you can add only a part of a website to your favorites and whenever there is a change, you would be updated by a small green button. Some sites like eBay offers WebSlice and you need to have IE8 to use this feature.

Tabbed Grouping: It will now offer tabbed grouping wherein a site opens from a link would be grouped together and thus make improve usability

Accelerator: This gives you complete access to many online services like blogs, search, mapping, definitions etc when you select a word on a page. Currently different accelerators are available for download eBay, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook etc.

IE 8 Beta is now available for download.
